WiFi FEM Maximizes Receiver Sensitivity

Qorvo's QPF4219 WiFi FEM Maximizes Receiver Sensitivity for 2400 to 2500 MHz 802.11axRFMW announces design and sales support for an 802.11ax front end module (FEM). The Qorvo QPF4219 optimizes the power amplifier for 5V operation while maintaining linear output power and leading-edge throughput. The receive path maximizes Rx sensitivity through noise figure performance that is consistent over a wider variety of conditions. Noise figure is 1.9dB. External filtering can be added while integrated die level filtering for 2nd and 3rd harmonics as well as 5 GHz rejection for DBDC operation are included. The QPF4219 integrates a 2.4 GHz power amplifier, regulator, single pole two throw switch (SP2T), bypassable low noise amplifier and DC power detector into a single device. Designed for access points, wireless routers, residential gateways and CPEs in the 2400 to 2500 MHz frequency range, this FEM provides 33 dB of Tx gain and 15.5 dB of Rx gain in a 5 x 3 mm package.
