RFMW Top Product Showcase at IMS 2025
3DRFE
3DRFE designs and manufactures amplifiers, RF Power Generator modules, and components for test and measurement equipment. The top featured product this year was the P25A, a compact 1 kW, 2.45 GHz RF generator for industrial use. Designed for power combining, it integrates dual 500 W pallets with a MMIC driver, internal isolator, and MCU-controlled RF exciter. It offers precise control of frequency, power, and pulse modulation. It includes Ethernet and USB, plus closed-loop control, monitoring, and calibration and is offered in a water-cooled, rugged 265 × 135 × 40 mm housing. Ideal for scalable, high-efficiency RF heating and plasma systems.
Akoustis
Akoustis is advancing RF filter technology with its proprietary XBAW® platform, delivering high-power, high-frequency, and ultra-wideband solutions for Wi-Fi access points, telecom, industrial, automotive, and other demanding markets. Their high-performance BAW filters deliver low-loss, wideband coverage from 2 to 18 GHz, including S, C, X, and Ku bands. These miniaturized filters support up to 29 dBm input power and feature an ultra-compact die size under 1 × 1 mm. With fractional bandwidths up to 15 percent, they’re ideal for advanced radar, satellite communications, and electronic warfare systems.
Amplifier Solutions
Amplifier Solutions manufactures amplifier modules for commercial and military markets, covering frequencies from 0 to 4 GHz. They employ hybrid construction techniques using either chip or packaged semiconductors on thick alumina substrates or PCB materials. Their top product is the ASC3090C 5-35 MHz High Linear Amplifier. The ASC3090C from Amplifier Solutions Corporation is a high linearity, connectorized RF power amp for 5 to 35 MHz, extendable to 1 to 100 MHz. It delivers +37 dBm output at 1 dB compression, 21.5 dB gain, 3.0 dB NF, 54 dBm IP3, and 97 dBm IP2. Built with GaAs pHEMT driving GaN in a push-pull Power Doubler configuration, this product offers unconditional stability, low noise, and high reliability. Suited for rugged commercial and military RF systems.

AmphenolCDI delivers innovative interconnect solutions built for the most demanding environments. As part of Amphenol Corporation, they draw on a legacy of quality to support mission-critical applications across Defense, Space, Aerospace, Test & Measurement, Quantum/Cryogenic, Medical, and Industrial markets. The RFMW IMS 2025 Top Product Pick are their precision RF connectors supporting frequencies up to 110 GHz with low loss and consistent 50Ω impedance. Available in 1.00, 1.35, 1.85, 2.4, and 2.92 mm interfaces, these connectors come in vertical flange-mount, 30-degree angled, and edge-launch configurations. Ampleon
Ampleon is the leading global partner in RF power, offering an extensive portfolio of LDMOS and GaN transistor technologies. At IMS 2025, RFMW showcased a live demonstration of Ampleon’s CLS3H2731L-700 700 W S-band amplifier designed for long pulse radar applications. This demo highlighted the critical role of GaN power transistors in achieving high average power output while maintaining pulse integrity in radar transmit-receive modules. The system also incorporated components from several RFMW supplier partners, demonstrating how integrated, high-efficiency RF solutions can meet the evolving demands of modern radar design.
More about this featured product: Ampleon’s CLS3H2731L-700 is a 700W GaN HEMT transistor designed for long-pulse S-band radar systems. It operates from 2.7 to 3.1 GHz with support for 300 µs pulse widths at 20% duty cycle, and is also available for 3.1 to 3.5 GHz. With internal input and output pre-matching, it simplifies design integration. Supplied in both eared and earless SOT502 packages, this 50 V device offers the highest power and gain in its class for high-efficiency radar transmitters.

Anritsu
Anritsu, a leader in precision microwave components, offers a full range of instrument-grade solutions through RFMW. Their portfolio includes adapters, terminations, attenuators, detectors, DC blocks, and bias tees, all engineered for high performance. Anritsu also features high return loss connectors and cables designed for demanding test environments and precision measurement systems.
APA Wireless Technologies
APA is a single-source developer and manufacturer of high-performance Super Low Phase Noise/Fast Switching PLL synthesizers, voltage-controlled oscillators, coaxial resonator oscillators, YIG replacement oscillators, and various custom-designed signal sources. Their featured product was the R4144SMUAM8CR_180.
The R4144SMUAM8CR_180 C-Band VCO from APA Wireless is engineered for radar surveillance and tracking systems. Covering 4100 to 4400 MHz with a tuning voltage range of 0.5 to 8 VDC, it offers low phase noise performance at –103 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz offset. The oscillator operates from an 8 VDC supply and draws only 35 mA, making it an efficient solution for compact, high-performance RF front ends requiring stable frequency synthesis and low jitter.
Axiro
Axiro’s F84010 is a high-efficiency 1.8 to 2.2 GHz transmit multi-chip module designed for 4G and 5G mMIMO active antenna systems, wireless infrastructure, and other demanding RF applications. It delivers 16W average output power and peak levels near 52 dBm from a 5V / 48V supply. With linearized PAE around 46%, 46 dB gain, and 365 MHz DPD-friendly bandwidth, it is housed in a compact 20 × 18 mm, 22-lead LGA with 50Ω-matched input and output ports.

CML Micro is a world leader in designing, developing, and supplying mixed-signal, RF, and microwave semiconductors for global communications markers. Their IMS Top Product was the CMX90A007. CML Micro’s CMX90A007 is a high-gain two-stage GaAs HBT driver amplifier delivering +33.5 dBm output with over 55 percent collector efficiency at 435 MHz. Operating from a 6 to 9.5 volt supply, it supports direct connection to dual-cell lithium batteries. Covering 136 to 1000 MHz, it features 26 dB gain, +45 dBm OIP3, and an integrated active bias. ED2 is an emerging technology company with deep expertise in RF and wireless systems, pioneering the use of glass (fused silica) substrates in the development of passive components and integrated modules. The ED2 FB010BW16SG is a broadband eight-way bandpass filter bank engineered for high-performance applications across 2 GHz to 18 GHz. Each channel offers a 2 GHz bandwidth with internal 50-ohm matching, delivering typical insertion loss of 4 dB, return loss greater than 12 dB, and a fast 20 ns switching speed. Keysight Technologiesoffers a series of millimeter-wave and microwave MMICs that provide superior performance over a wide bandwidth from DC to 50 GHz, including both analog and digital applications. The IMS Top Product HMMC-5618 is a medium-power GaAs MMIC amplifier covering 6 to 20 GHz. It operates in Class A mode using a single 5 V DC supply, offering excellent linearity and stability. Designed as a cascadable intermediate gain block, it is ideal for electronic warfare systems and other wideband defense applications.
Knowles Precision Devices
Knowles manufactures multilayer, single layer, high reliability, and precision variable capacitors, EMI filters, and microwave devices such as RF filters, splitters, and couplers. IMS Top Product P42BNL820M5ST Milli-Cap® capacitor delivers 0.2 dB typical loss from 20 MHz to 50 GHz with excellent low-frequency stability and consistent performance over extreme temperatures. This 82 pF, 0402 SMT capacitor supports 50V and is well suited for use in test equipment, fiber optic modules, broadband microwave systems, and millimeter-wave assemblies. It offers increased usable bandwidth, orientation-insensitive operation, and matches standard 50Ω line widths.
Leanfa

Marki Microwave
Marki Microwave is a single source for high-performance, broadband microwave products, offering multiple form factors, including die, surface mount, and connectorized solutions, to support the entire RF block diagram. We chose the MM1-1886HCSP2 as the RFMW IMS Top Product, a highly linear passive GaAs double balanced MMIC mixer suitable for both up and down-conversion applications. As with all Marki Microwave mixers, it features excellent conversion loss, isolation and spurious performance across a broad bandwidth and in a small form factor. The MM1-1886HCSP2 is available in a lead-free, RoHS compliant 2.5×2.5 mm chip scale surface mount package (CSP2) and is compatible with standard leaded and lead-free PCB reflow soldering processes.

MAST Technologies
MAST Technologies develops advanced absorber materials for RF, microwave, and EMI mitigation in defense and commercial systems. Their featured materials sample kit includes materials that can be cut and applied to prototypes to manage cavity resonances, reduce surface waves, and minimize reflection and insertion loss during the design process.
Meca Electronics
Meca Electronics showcased their line of Power Dividers optimized for Wi-Fi 6 and other commercial wireless systems. Their broader portfolio includes terminations, couplers, attenuators, isolators, circulators, bias tees, and DC blocks. Engineered for 5G, millimeter-wave, space, and defense markets, Meca supports public safety, rail, and transportation applications with rugged, high-performance RF solutions.
Menlo Micro
Menlo Micro’s Ideal Switch technology achieves over 99% reductions in size, weight, power, and cost; benefiting numerous industries including, medical, aerospace and defense, telecommunications, consumer electronics, industrial IoT, and test and measurement. Menlo Micro’s MM5230 is a high-power SP4T Ideal Switch® operating from DC to 18 GHz, or up to 26 GHz in Super-Port mode. It delivers 25 W CW and 150 W pulsed power handling with excellent linearity (IIP3 95 dBm) and low insertion loss (0.3 dB at 6 GHz). Housed in a 2.5 × 2.5 mm BGA, it supports over 3 billion switching cycles. It is ideal for replacing bulky RF relays and lossy solid-state switches in test, defense, wireless, and medical systems.
Microchip
Microchip provides a comprehensive product portfolio of semiconductor and system solutions tailored to the unique requirements of aerospace and defense, communications, data center, and industrial markets. The Microchip MMA051PP45 is a 50Ω GaAs MMIC pHEMT distributed amplifier that operates between DC and 22 GHz. It is ideal for test instrumentation, wideband military and space applications. The amplifier provides a flat gain of 14 dB, 3.5 dB noise figure, and 30 dBm of output power at 3 dB gain compression at 10 GHZ with a nominal bias condition of 10V 350 mA. Output IP3 is typically 35 dBm. Two other products in this family include the MMA052PP45 and MMA053PP5.

Micross Hi-Rel RF Solutions
Micross Hi-Rel RF Solutions has revolutionized specialty electronics by establishing a global company with the industry’s most extensive range of products and services. The Micross KS03R2‐22 is a high-power SPDT PIN diode switch supporting 200W CW from 0.02 to 3.0 GHz. Engineered on a thermally efficient aluminum nitride substrate with thick copper metallization and a copper tungsten flange, it ensures excellent heat dissipation and current handling. NXP
NXP is a global semiconductor company creating solutions that enable secure connections for a smarter world. Our IMS Top Product choice was NXP’s RapidRF-36TC, a compact RF reference design featuring dual-channel 48 V GaN PAs, pre-drivers, and receivers integrated in a high-efficiency, top-side cooled module. It operates from 3400 to 3800 MHz with 400 MHz instantaneous bandwidth and includes a dual-channel Rx module, 10 mm universal circulator, and autobias with built-in GaN sequencing. This design enables up to 10 points of GaN efficiency gain in compact 5G radios and active antenna systems.
P1dB
P1dB offers an extensive array of RF and microwave components for wired and wireless telecommunication systems, wireless infrastructure, test equipment subsystems, repeaters, and cable networks. Qorvo
Qorvo connects, protects and powers the solutions that improve our planet. Their products play a crucial role in supporting infrastructure, IoT, defense, aerospace, and power management applications. We selected two Top Products from Qorvo this year at IMS 2025.
Qorvo’s QPF5001 is a compact front-end module optimized for 8–12 GHz X-Band radar and communication systems. It integrates a limiter, low-noise amplifier, and power amplifier in a 6 × 5 mm surface-mount package. The PA delivers 41.5 dBm saturated output with 45% PAE, and the receiver chain achieves a 1.5 dB noise figure. Designed to interface with a circulator, the QPF5001 is well suited for both commercial and defense applications.
Accelerate your phased array radar design with Qorvo’s AWS-0103, a quad core silicon beamformer IC for 8.5–10.55 GHz systems. Ideal for commercial and weather RADAR, it features dual-beam Rx, single-beam Tx, +13 dBm Tx power, +9 dB Rx gain, 6-bit phase and gain control, and fast beam switching via on-chip storage. Rosenberger’s high quality, reliable, and precise cable assemblies and connectors are renowned by high-tech companies in automotive electronics, mobile and telecommunications, medical and industrial electronics, industrial measurement technology, aerospace, and data technology. Our Top Product choice for the show were the Rosenberger SMPX interconnects, solderless, high-density multiport systems designed for frequencies up to 110 GHz. Finwave
Finwave develops scalable RF chips using GaN-on-Silicon technology, delivering fast switching, broadband performance, and high power handling for demanding RF systems. Its RF switches are ideal for Tx/Rx use in radar and communication systems and require no external components. Designed to replace legacy PIN diode switches, Finwave’s devices offer ease of integration and rugged reliability. RFMW now offers Finwave RF switch products to customers worldwide.
Finwave’s FW2001 is a broadband, high-power SPDT switch covering 30 MHz to 12 GHz with 20 W pulsed power handling. It offers fast 85 ns switching and 200 ns settling time, supports hot switching, and operates with simple ±5 V direct control—no charge pump needed. Engineered for agility and high-speed performance, this switch is ideal for Tx/Rx operation in 5G infrastructure, radar platforms, and software-defined radios requiring robust, reliable RF switching.
