This year at EuMW Week 2025 we displayed the Smiths Interconnect TSX series chip attenuators, thin-film attenuators that deliver outstanding RF performance from DC to 50 GHz. Their low VSWR helps increase transmitted power, and they are available in compact 0604 and 0404 packages, making them ideal for space-constrained designs.

Divide and Conquer: MPD4-0218CSP3 Delivers Performance in a Tiny Footprint
Another top product we featured was the Marki Microwave MPD4-0218CSP3, a 2–18 GHz MMIC 4-way power divider housed in the company’s ultra-compact CSP3 package. This MMIC features outstanding 29 dB isolation and low 0.8 dB excess insertion loss, offering high-performance power splitting or combining in a drastically smaller footprint than traditional PCB-based Wilkinson dividers.
Tight process control results in excellent repeatability and consistent S-parameter data, making the MPD4-0218CSP3 ideal for simulation-driven workflows and high-volume integration. The combination of compact packaging, strong electrical specs, and a focus on low SWaP design makes Marki’s power divider a great choice for advanced systems where size and performance are critical.
Additionally, Niki Mobtaker demonstrated the Marki Microwave Prodigy Filter Design tool, which helps engineers streamline filter design.

We were excited to display CML Micro’s expanding portfolio of GaN and GaAs RFICs and MMICs for secure, satellite, and defense-grade communications. A standout product in this lineup was the CMX90A009, a high-efficiency, 10W power amplifier operating across 136 to 1000 MHz. Delivering +40 dBm P3dB and 17 dB gain with more than 60% collector efficiency at 435 MHz, this PA supports both linear and saturated modes and features an integrated active bias circuit for reliable, stable performance.
With an OIP3 of +45 dBm, the CMX90A009 is well suited for critical communication platforms, including PMR/LMR, public safety radios (TETRA/P25), VHF/UHF data networks, ISM band modems, and marine radio applications. A derivative of the popular Menlo Micro MM5620, the MM5625 differential loopback switch increases supported data rates to over 80 Gbps and offers flexible configuration for asymmetric bus testing—ideal for validating the latest PCIe Gen 6 and high-speed serial interfaces. With low insertion loss, fast switching speed, and durability rated at more than 3 billion cycles, it sets a new bar for precision switching in digital test.
Also on display in the Menlo Micro station was a demo of the MM5800, an upcoming 70 GHz switch designed for millimeter-wave test and defense applications.

Our featured product from Guerrilla RF was the GRF6402, a versatile 7-bit digital step attenuator operating from 50 MHz to 6 GHz. This high-performance DSA features Rapid Fire™ mode, enabling fast switching between two user-defined attenuation states—ideal for time-critical functions like in-band blocker suppression, PA protection, and toggling power levels in TDD systems. It supports glitchless stepping and full bidirectional RF operation, ensuring smooth transitions and high signal integrity in dynamic RF environments.
With SPI interface control, eight addressable settings, drop-in compatibility with industry-standard DSAs, and a wide operating temperature range from -40 to +115 °C, the GRF6402 delivers both flexibility and robustness. Covering 400 to 6000 MHz, this BALUN is engineered for applications like RFSoCs, ADCs, and DACs that demand clean differential signal paths with tight amplitude and phase balance.
Built with ceramic-filled PTFE composites and tested to meet stringent RF and environmental standards, the XMB0465Z1-50100G delivers excellent common mode rejection and low insertion loss in a package just 1.03 mm high. We featured the Micross KS03R2-22, a rugged SPDT PIN diode switch capable of handling up to 200W from 20 MHz to 3 GHz. This switch is built on a robust aluminum nitride carrier with thick copper traces, housed in a 3-lead flange-mount package designed for superior thermal and electrical performance. The KS03R2-22 is an excellent choice for both commercial and military systems that require low insertion loss and moderate adjacent port isolation in high-power environments. It is ideal for radar, communications, and EW applications where reliability under extreme conditions is critical.

This source delivers best-in-class phase noise and exceptional non-harmonic spur performance of -80 dBc, using fundamental VCOs to eliminate subharmonics and ensure clean signal generation.
Fast tuning under 50 microseconds, an auxiliary DDS output from 1 to 2,000 MHz, and flexible control via USB, RS-232, or SPI make it ideal for demanding applications including COMMINT, ECM, radar, low-jitter clocking, and satellite links.
