RFMW, Ltd. announces design and sales support for an expanded offering of SMD square air coils from Frontier Electronics. The new LSQ1111A – LSQ2929A series offer a higher current rating (up to 5.7A), an inductance range of 27nH to 500nH and SRF values as high as 2.6GHz . Designed primarily for use in RF circuits such as filters, bypassing and/or decoupling signals, these larger coils compliment the already established LSQ0706A – LSQ0908A series. Square air coils offer advantages over their round coil counterparts such as: higher inductance values for a given LxWxH, higher self-resonant frequencies, lower coil capacitance, and pick and place operation is generally easier. Operational temperature range is -40 °C to 125 °C. Customer specific designs are available that vary turns, wire gauge, inductance, etc.
