RFMW, Ltd. announces design and sales support for SSMP, miniature blind mate connectored cables assemblies from P1dB, Inc. Operational to 40GHz, the SSMP connector is also known as SMPM or Mini-SMP and is compatible with GPPO™. Due to high frequency performance and small size, SSMP connectors find applications in commercial and defense related products. Optical and high performance analog designs benefit from broad frequency coverage while high-density RF cards in the defense sector benefit from the small size/weight. P1dB offers SSMP connectors on either .085 or .047 flexible cable with straight, right angle or bulkhead connector options. The cable end opposite the SSMP can be terminated with SSMP, SMP or SMA depending on the application such as the P1CA-SAFSMFRA-SS085-6, a SSMP right angle female to SMA female cable assembly using .086 flexible cable. P1dB provides custom lengths and phase matched cable sets matched to within +/- 5 ps.
