PIM (Passive Intermodulation) is the non-linear mixing of 2 or more frequencies in a passive (or linear) device creating poor system performance in equipment such as distributed antenna systems (DAS). MECA’s Low PIM (-161dBc typ.) 10, 50, 100 & 250 Watt terminations offer rugged construction and excellent performance for in-building or tower top systems. For example, the LPT10-4310M is a 10W termination capable of handling full rated power to +85C without power derating. With a 4.3/10.0 DIN Male connector, the LPT10-4310M is IP rated 67/68 making it a perfect choice for harsh environments. Made in USA, MECA low PIM terminations are available with N-type and 7/16 connectors.
