Ultra-Wide Band Power Limiter from RFMW

RFuW Engineering RFLM-200802MA-299, Silicon, PIN-Diode Limiter Module handles power up to 25 Watts average and 125 Watts peak from 20 MHz to 8 GHz RFMW, Ltd. announces design and sales support for a high power, SMT RF limiter. The RFuW Engineering model number RFLM-200802MA-299, Silicon, PIN-Diode Limiter Module offers both high power CW and peak power protection in the 20 MHz to 8 GHz frequency range. Capable of handling power up to 25 Watts average (44 dBm) and peak power up to 125 Watts (51 dBm) pulsed (pulse width = 1 usec, duty cycle = 0.1%), the RFLM-200802MA-299 maintains low flat leakage to less than 20 dBm (typical), and reduces spike leakage to less than 0.2 ergs. Recovery time is <500nS. The combination of high peak power handling and ultra-fast recovery time is mandatory for missile defense radar systems and receivers potentially subjected to transient power spikes. RF performance is exceptional with insertion loss of less than 1.4 dB. This passive limiter requires no external control lines or power supply connections offering “always on” protection. Offered in a 8 x 5 x 2.5 mm, ceramic surface mount package.
