
The 2026 IEEE International Microwave Symposium (IMS2026) once again brought together the global RF and microwave community to explore the latest advances in semiconductor technologies, passive components, interconnect solutions, high-power RF systems, test equipment, and system-level innovations. Throughout the week, RFMW welcomed engineers, customers, supplier partners, and industry colleagues to its booth to discuss emerging technologies and the products shaping next-generation RF and microwave designs.
To help visitors navigate the wide range of technologies on display, the RFMW booth featured themed technology areas highlighting innovative products across the RF signal chain. From revolutionary semiconductor technologies and high-power RF solutions to passive components, precision interconnect products, and newly added suppliers, each display showcased products designed to address demanding applications in aerospace and defense, satellite communications, wireless infrastructure, electronic warfare, radar, quantum computing, instrumentation, industrial, and commercial markets.

Advanced beamforming and RF integrated circuit technologies
Axiro demonstrated its growing portfolio of RF, mmWave, and GaN integrated circuits supporting phased array antennas, satellite communications, wireless infrastructure, and defense radar systems.
Our featured Top Product, the F6413/F6415 TRx Beamformer Family, integrates eight transmit/receive channels covering X- and Ku-band frequencies with ultra-fast beam steering, +20 dBm transmit output P1dB, and a compact architecture optimized for λ/2 antenna integration. These highly integrated beamformers simplify electronically steered array designs while supporting next-generation SATCOM and radar platforms.
During the show we also interviewed Srinidhi Embar of Axiro Semiconductor to find out more about the company’s latest power amplifier modules for next-generation wireless infrastructure. The conversation highlighted the F84010, a 1.8 to 2.2 GHz transmit multi-chip PA module designed for 32T/32R massive MIMO systems, delivering 16W average output power, up to 52 dBm peak output power, approximately 46% linearized power-added efficiency, and 365 MHz instantaneous bandwidth. Srinidhi also introduced the F84232, a 3.4 to 3.8 GHz PA module for 64T/64R 5G massive MIMO applications featuring integrated bias control for TDD switching and temperature compensation, 8W average output power, approximately 50% linearized efficiency, and 400 MHz instantaneous bandwidth. Together, these compact modules demonstrate Axiro’s focus on delivering highly integrated, high-efficiency RF front-end solutions for next-generation cellular infrastructure.

CML Micro highlighted semiconductor solutions supporting RF, microwave, and mixed-signal communications systems. The company’s devices emphasize design flexibility, efficient power utilization, and accelerated development for wireless infrastructure and tactical communications.
The featured CMX90A301 delivers 10 W of C-band output power across 4.4 to 5.0 GHz while achieving 55% power-added efficiency in a compact 5 × 5 mm QFN package. With internally matched RF ports and integrated DC blocking, the amplifier is well suited for MANET radios and C-band final amplifier stages.

Finwave demonstrated the capabilities of its GaN-on-Silicon technology through a series of live switching demonstrations highlighting exceptional isolation, ultra-fast switching speed, and wideband performance.
RFMW also featured the FW2007 high-power SPDT switch operating from 30 MHz to 14 GHz with 50W pulsed power handling, 150 ns switching time, hot-switching capability, and an optional integrated driver. Together with the FW2001 and FW2009 demonstration platforms, these products illustrate how Finwave’s GaN-on-Silicon technology delivers higher power handling, broader bandwidth, and improved efficiency for next-generation RF systems.

Guerrilla RF
Guerrilla RF highlighted its expanding portfolio of high-performance RF and microwave MMICs designed for wireless infrastructure, aerospace and defense, automotive connectivity, satellite communications, and enterprise networking applications. The company’s growing product family includes ultra-low-noise amplifiers, broadband gain blocks, linear driver amplifiers, power amplifiers, RF switches, active mixers, digital step attenuators, and RF power detectors that help engineers increase data throughput while extending wireless coverage.
One of the featured products was the GRF5847, a high-linearity power amplifier module operating from 4.4 to 5.2 GHz. At a 4.7 GHz operating point, the device delivers 40 dB gain, 35.5 dBm saturated output power, 43 dBm OIP3, and excellent linearity performance while maintaining greater than 50% power-added efficiency. Additional family features include integrated 50Ω matching, digital shutdown capability, and operation across a -40°C to +85°C temperature range, making these devices well suited for next-generation communications infrastructure and defense systems where efficiency and linearity are equally critical.

Through RFMW, Keysight Technologies offers a portfolio of microwave and millimeter-wave monolithic microwave integrated circuits (MMICs) that deliver exceptional performance across frequencies from DC to 50 GHz for analog, digital, and high-speed communications applications. These GaAs MMIC amplifiers and related semiconductor devices support a wide range of commercial, aerospace, defense, and electronic warfare designs requiring broadband operation and excellent linearity. Featured during IMS2026 was the HMMC-5618, a medium-power GaAs MMIC amplifier operating from 6 to 20 GHz. Designed as a cascadable intermediate gain block, the Class A amplifier operates from a single 5 V supply while providing the linearity, stability, and wideband performance required for electronic warfare systems and other advanced microwave applications.

Centered at 7.9 GHz, the cavity filter delivers excellent selectivity with low insertion loss, making it an ideal choice for integration between the antenna and low-noise amplifier in sensitive receiver front ends. In addition to standard products, Knowles offers custom cavity filter solutions with bandwidths from 1% to 5% and unloaded Q values exceeding 800, enabling engineers to optimize receiver performance across a wide range of aerospace, defense, and commercial RF applications.
Also featured during IMS2026 was the P42BNL820M5ST Milli-Cap® Broadband Capacitor, an innovative surface-mount component that operates from 20 MHz to an impressive 50 GHz. Designed to behave much like an ideal capacitor, the device delivers approximately 0.2 dB insertion loss across the operating band while preserving valuable PCB real estate. Its broadband performance and compatibility with standard 50Ω transmission lines make it an attractive solution for next-generation RF and microwave designs requiring exceptional bandwidth and signal integrity.

One featured product was the ADM-11122PSM, a wideband gain block amplifier operating from 2 to 20 GHz. Delivering 19 dB typical gain, +55 dBm typical output IP2, 4.2 dB typical noise figure, and +13.7 dBm output P1dB, the amplifier targets direct-conversion electronic warfare receivers, direct-sampling systems, and other applications where second-order linearity is critical.
