RFMW announces design and sales support for a Wi-Fi (802.11n-ax) front end module (FEM). The Qorvo QPF4216 FEM is an energy efficient, high capacity device with a compact form factor for 802.11n-ax Wi-Fi systems needing minimal layout area. Performance features include 22 dBm Pout (at -43 dB DEVM) and 26 dBm Pout (at MCSO). Transmit gain is 32 dB while receive noise figure is 1.8 dB. 5 GHz signals are filtered with 15 dB rejection. The QPF4216 integrates a quasi-logarithmic power detector in a 5 x 3 mm package.
RFMW announces availability of discrete devices from Microwave Technology (MwT). The MwT-PH8F AlGaAs/InGaAs pHEMT delivers 30 dBm Psat at 12 GHz and is ideally suited to applications requiring high-gain and medium linear power up to 18 GHz. Small signal gain is 11 dB. Offered in a 670 x 315 micron chip, the MwT-PH8F can be used in military and hi-rel SWaP designs with MTBF values better than 1×108 hours at 150 degrees C channel temperature.
RFMW announces design and sales support for a Southwest Antennas’ monopole whip antenna. The 1000-048 covers military and federal law enforcement bands from 1.81 – 1.85 GHz with 0.8 dBi gain. Independent tests show ~50% range improvement over untuned, COTS monopoles. Designed for small form factor handheld, body-worn, or vehicle/robot mounted radio systems, the lightweight, extremely rugged design of this highly flexible whip delivers a low visibility / reflectivity matte finish that is waterproof and fully potted for all-weather operation in harsh conditions. The 1000-048 features a black chrome, non-rotating SMA(m) RF connector with extended body shroud.
RFMW announces design and sales support for a low noise, high gain, wide bandwidth amplifier. The Qorvo QPL1810, is used to support fiber to the home applications from 50 to 1800 MHz using a single 5V supply, or it can be used from 5 to 8 V depending on linearity requirements. With 20 dB of flat gain, this single ended LNA supports FTTH GPON and GEPON, DOCSIS 4.0 designs for head end CMTS equipment along with cable modems and set top boxes. OIP3 measures 35 dBm. Available in a SOT-89 package.
RFMW announces design and sales support for mmWave, surface mount filters from Cubic Nuvotronics. The PSF71B07W interdigital filter has a pass band of 69.0 to 76.0 GHz with 50 Ω characteristic impedance. Handling a maximum input power of 2 Watts, this SMT filters’ maximum insertion loss is 3.6 dB and boasts a typical 35 dB upper and lower bandpass rejection. PolyStrata technology provides wide bandwidth, exceptional filtering performance and minimal part-to-part variation for consistent results in production environments supporting E-Band satellite communications, RF telemetry, and instrumentation. Small size and light weight are essential for these applications. RoHS compliant, PSF71B07W filters…
RFMW announces design and sales support for an ultra-linear amplifier from Amplifier Solutions Corporation (ASC). The ASC523 has an operating band of 2 to 250 MHz with typical specifications of +35 dBm P1dB, 22 dB gain, and 2.8 dB Noise Figure. Operating at 24V in a SMD 5-pin flange mount package, it has excellent linearity with very low noise figure and is unconditionally stable with optimal reliability targeting HF, VHF, or Radar communication applications that require high linearity. No external components are required.
RFMW announces design and sales support for a Single-Pole, Triple–Throw (SP3T) switch from Qorvo. The QPC1006 SP3T offers >30 dB isolation and <1 dB insertion loss in 0.15 to 2.8 GHz applications such as radar, electronic warfare and test instrumentation. Handling up to 50W, this GaN on SiC switch switching time is 30 nS. The QPC1006 available in a small, 4.5 x 4 mm QFN package.
RFMW announces availability of discrete devices from Microwave Technology (MwT). The MwT-9F GaAs MESFET delivers 26.5 dBm P1dB at 12 GHz and is ideally suited to applications requiring high-gain and medium linear power in the 500 MHz to 26 GHz frequency range.
