RFMW, Ltd. announces design and sales support for 27GHz, field replaceable connectors from P1dB, Inc. The P1CO-SAF2-FE018-27G is a 2-hole, panel mount SMA connector capable of accepting an 18 mil pin on the backside interface. It comes equipped with an EMI gasket that minimizes RF leakage when attached to a suitable housing. Field replaceable connectors are used when there is potential for connector damage to occur after an assembly has been deployed. A field replaceable connector mitigates the need to return an entire assembly for repair thereby saving time and money to make equipment operational. Beyond the P1CO-SAF2-FE018-27G, 2-hole, panel…

RFMW, Ltd. announces design and sales support for MECA low PIM, 380-2700 MHz terminations. PIM (Passive Intermodulation) is the non-linear mixing of 2 or more frequencies in a passive (or linear) device creating poor system performance in equipment such as distributed antenna systems (DAS). MECA’s Low PIM (-161dBc typ.) 10, 50, 100 & 250 Watt terminations offer rugged construction and excellent performance for in-building or tower top systems. For example, the LPT10-4310M is a 10W termination capable of handling full rated power to +85C without power derating. With a 4.3/10.0 DIN Male connector, the LPT10-4310M is IP rated 67/68 making…
RFMW, Ltd. announces design and sales support for the Qorvo QPL9065 LNA. This ultra-low noise amplifier is specified with a 0.5dB noise figure at 1.95GHz. Designed with two amplification stages and internal, 2nd stage bypass switch, gain is selectable at 17.5dB or 37.5dB. Operational bandwidth is 450 to 3800MHz. DC power comes from a single positive supply of 3.3 to 5V and control is via 1.8V CMOS TTL logic without external circuitry. Applications include Tower Mounted Amplifiers, base station receivers and repeaters. The QPL9065 is offered in a 3.5×3.5mm package.
RFMW, Ltd. announces design and sales support for a high power SPDT switch from RFuW Engineering. The MSW2T-2041-193 high power PIN diode switch handles 150 watts of average (CW) power across a band width of 400MHz to 4GHz. Peak power handling is up to 550W. Offered in a surface mount (SMT) package measuring 5x8x2.5mm, the MSW2T-2041-193 symmetrical switch serves radar T/R module applications along with switch filter banks and Mil-Com radio applications where high-power handling is needed. Insertion loss is only 0.25dB while typical isolation is 33dB. Switching time is 2 microseconds.
RFMW, Ltd. announces design and sales support for a high power, solid state power amplifier from Aethercomm. Designed for high power, linear applications in both ground and airborne systems, the SSPA 2.0-6.0-250 delivers a nominal 250 watts from 2.0 to 6.0GHz and attains 300W of saturated RF power for non-linear requirements. Developed using GaN technology for instantaneous, broad band performance, the SSPA 2.0-6.0-250 offers 70dB of small signal gain and has 20-25% composite power added efficiency across the band. Powered from a 28Vdc supply, standard features include reverse polarity protection, over-temperature protection, and over/under voltage protection. Input and output VSWR…
