RFMW’s GPS FEM features Pre and Post-Filtering

Skyworks SKY65903-11 1559-1606MHz GPS FEM with Pre and Post-FilteringRFMW, Ltd. announces design and sales support for the Skyworks Solutions SKY65903-11, front-end module (FEM) featuring a low-noise amplifier and integrated pre- and post- filters for GPS receiver applications.  Designed for high performance in the frequency range of 1559-1606 MHz, this Skyworks module ideal for global positioning and navigation satellite systems in end products such as fitness/activity trackers, watches, pet trackers, smartphones and tablets.  The SKY65903-11 features in-band IIP3 of -7.3dBm, small signal gain of 14.2dB and noise figure of 1.7dB for improved signal-to-noise ratio.  Integrated pre- and post-filters provide low in-band insertion loss and excellent rejection (76dBc @ 2.4GHz) for the cellular, PCS, and WLAN frequency bands.  Low current consumption of 2.8mA extends battery life and single DC supply simplifies design and minimizes board layout.  A compact 16-pin, 2.5 x 2.5 mm Multi-Chip Module (MCM) package requiring only an external capacitor and inductor allows for a highly manufactureable and low-cost solution.
