Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) FEM from RFMW

Skyworks SKY66113-11 low energy FEM for BlueTooth BLERFMW, Ltd. announces design and sales support for a Skyworks, low energy front end module. The SKY66113-11 is designed for low energy applications in the IoT market such as BLE, 802.15.4, Thread and ZigBee. Integrating a low noise amplifier, transmit bypass and antenna switches, the FEM provides up to 12dB of receive gain which boosts receiver sensitivity by as much as 7 dB over a standard SOC transceiver. Increased sensitivity means increased range for devices such as sensors, beacons, smart watches, thermostats, smoke/CO detectors, wireless cameras, wireless audio headphones, hearing aids and medical pendants. Due to superior efficiency of the SKY66113-11, total system power is reduced versus using only the SOC and its internal amplifiers. Receiver current is only 4mA while noise figure measures 2dB. Packaged in a 2.4×2.4mm multi-chip module.
