RFMW, Ltd. announces design and sales support for a broad bandwidth, GaN, solid state power amplifier from Aethercomm. Model Number SSPA 0.020-6.000-70 operates from 20MHz to 6GHz and delivers a typical saturated output power of 70 Watts for broad band T&M, military and commercial applications. Typical small signal gain is 50 to 60dB with gain flatness of +/-3dB. Operating from a +28V supply, this amplifier includes an external DC blanking command that enables and disables the module in less than 25 uSec. Standard features include over/under voltage protection and reverse polarity protection. The SSPA 0.020-6.000-70 is offered in a modular housing that is approximately 5.5”(width) by 6.5”(long) by 2.0”(height).
