RFMW announces design and sales support for a 5 GHz 802.11ax front-end module (FEM) from Skyworks Solutions. The SKY85726-11 offers high level integration with a 5 GHz SPDT transmit/receive (T/R) switch, a 5 GHz LNA with bypass, and a 5 GHz power amplifier offering 18.5 dBm output power @MCS11, -40 dB DEVM. Intended for either mobile/portable or fixed access points, routers and gateways, the LNA and PA disable functions ensure low leakage current in off mode. Transmit gain is 32 dB while receive gain is 13 dB on this fully matched I/O FEM. The SKY85726-11 includes an integrated power detector to provide closed-loop power control within the system. Offered in a compact, 16-pin 3 x 3 mm QFN package.
