RFMW, Ltd. announces design, sales support and availability of TriQuint Semiconductor’s TAT8804D1H ultra-linear GaAs amplifier MMIC intended for output stage amplification in CATV infrastructure applications where flat gain and low distortion are key considerations. This 12V power doubler features 21dB gain at 1200MHz with a P1dB of 34dBm. The TAT8804D1H high gain allows it to replace two existing competitor’s amplifiers thereby reducing part count, board space and overall BOM cost while reducing power dissipation by up to 30%. TriQuint’s TAT8804D1H comes in a 40-pin, 5x7mm QFN package.
