RFMW, Ltd. announces design and sales support for a 9W GaN HPA from TriQuint. The TGA2595 supports VSAT and SatCom applications from 27.5 to 31GHz. 24% power added efficiency highlights this multi-stage amplifier which draws 280mA from a 20V suppy. The TriQuint TGA2595 offers 39.5dBm mid-band saturated output power with small signal gain of 23dB. A balanced configuration supports low return loss and improves robustness into non ideal loads. Offered in a space saving 3.6×3.24×0.1mm DIE configuration, the TGA2595 is up to 3x smaller than competing products. To simplify system integration, the TriQuint TGA2595 is fully matched to 50 ohms with integrated DC blocking caps on both I/O ports.
