The SKYA21001 from Skyworks Solutions was developed for in-vehicle telematics and infotainment applications. However, defense/aerospace companies have adopted the switch as a low cost alternative to semi-custom and upgraded products. Covering a frequency range of 20MHz to 3GHz, the SKYA21001 is ideal for military communication systems. Low insertion loss of 0.3dB improves system performance while low DC power consumption helps maintain battery life in portable systems.
