RFMW, Ltd. announces design and sales support for a 5G front end module (FEM). The Qorvo RFFM4554 integrates a high linearity SPDT RF switch with a low noise amplifier (LNA) having bypass capability. The LNA receive gain is 13.5dB with noise figure rated at a very low, 1.7dB. With frequency coverage from 4.9 to 5.925GHz, the Qorvo RFFM4554 supports 5G WiFi CPEs, gateways and set top boxes. It also finds homes in WiFi access points, routers and IoT (internet of things) products operating in this ISM band. An internal 2.4GHz rejection filter offers 35dB of attenuation and external filtering can be added to reduce 2.4GHz interference. Operating voltage is 3 to 5.5V and the RFFM4554 comes in a small, 2.3×2.3mm DFN package.
