GaN Amplifier provides High Power for Weather/Marine Radar

Qorvo TGA2622-SM, 9 – 10GHz, 35 watt, GaN power amplifier targeted towards weather and marine radarRFMW, Ltd. announces design and sales support for a 9 – 10GHz, 35 watt, GaN power amplifier targeted towards weather and marine radar applications.  The Qorvo TGA2622-SM provides a saturated output power of 45.5dBm with 18dBm input. Power added efficiency is >42% and large signal gain is 27.5dB. For non-saturated applications, small signal gain is >30dB. The TGA2622-SM requires a 28V bias capable of 290mA and comes in a 7x7mm air-cavity QFN package.
