RFMW, Ltd. announces design and sales support for a DOCSIS 3.1 compliant return path amplifier. The Qorvo QPB3321 is an HBT, single-ended, RF amplifier IC operating from 5-210MHz. Designed to provide a low noise, high gain option, it uses an 8V power supply to provide lower overall power dissipation. 5V operation is possible in applications with reduced linearity and gain requirements. Typical gain is 17.5dB in 8V operation. Applications range from Head-End CMTS equipment and post amplifiers for return path optical receivers to residential amplifiers and splitters. The QPB3321 is packaged in a convenient SOIC8 package and features an externally adjustable bias control.
