RFMW, Ltd. announces design and sales support for a GaN on SiC power amplifier. The Qorvo QPA1019 offers 10 Watts of saturated output power from 4.5 to 7 GHz for C-Band Radar systems and satellite communications. Power added efficiency is up to 40% while power gain is >19 dB. Biased from a 22 V supply, the QPA1019 draws 290 mA. With an integrated power detector, this PA is offered in a 5 x 5 mm, plastic overmold QFN with a copper paddle for high reliability.
