RFMW, Ltd. announces design and sales support for a highly integrated T/R FEM designed for high power ISM applications. Operating in the 860 to 930 MHz range, the Skyworks SKY66423-11 is ideal for LP-WAN applications, LoRa, SigFox and other unlicensed band technologies including sensors, beacons, smartwatches, thermostats, wireless cameras, smoke/CO detectors and medical pendants. Delivering 27 dBm transmit power, the SKY66423-11 effectively quadruples the communication range of a stand-alone SoC. It also provides boosted receiver sensitivity, offering as much as 11 dB improvement over of a stand-alone SoC. This FEM integrates PA, LNA, switches and logic controls to save PCB space while reducing system current requirements by up to 30%. Capable of battery powered operation, it’s offered in a 3 x 3 mm MCM package.
