RFMW, Ltd. announces design and sales support for a GaAs pHEMT/MESFET amplifier IC. Qorvo’s model QPB8958 provides up to 34 dB of flat gain at 1000 MHz with P1dB of 27 dBm. Spanning a band width of 50 to 1003 MHz with 1 dB of gain slope, the QPB8958 offers low noise and low distortion in a compact, 5 x 7 mm QFN package using a single 24V supply. Originally designed for 75 ohm circuits in DOCSIS 3.0 amplifiers, head-end CMTS equipment and broadband CATV hybrid modules, this MMIC can be characterized for 50 ohm environments where high level, flat gain is needed.
