RFMW announces design and sales support for a transmit/receive (T/R) module from Qorvo. The Qorvo QPM2100, GaAs MMIC front-end module, is designed for 2.5 to 4.0 GHz radar and combines a T/R switch, LNA with digital attenuator, and PA. Receive path performance is 30 dB gain with 1.2 dB noise figure. The transmit path insertion loss is 1.2 dB. Switching time is <15 nS. A 7 x 7 mm surface mount package coupled with high thermal conductivity die-attach process, allows the QPM2100 to perform well in high temperature environments. Its compact size supports tight lattice spacing requirements needed for S-Band phased array radar applications.
