Compact 802.11ax FEM Simplifies Layout

RFMW announces design and sales support for a 5 GHz Front-End Module (FEM) from Qorvo. The Qorvo QPF4516B features +27 dBm MCS0 for 802.11ax wireless access points. Performance is focused on optimizing the PA for a 5 V supply voltage that conserves power consumption while maintaining the highest linear output power and leading edge throughput. Noise figure is 2 dB with 15 dB receive gain and 6 dB bypass loss. Transmit gain is 32 dB. The QPF4516B delivers high capacity and high efficiency in a 5×3 mm package with integrated matching to minimize layout area.
