RFMW, Ltd. announces design and sales support for API Technologies’ QB-904 class AB amplifier operating from 2 to 6GHz. The QB-904 utilizes rugged, GaN technology to provide 4 watts of saturated output power offering broadband, medium power RF amplification for general purpose test systems or subsystems. API Technologies’ provides the QB-904 in a hermetically sealed, copper nickel housing with optional, field replaceable SMA connectors. A heat sink designed for the package is available when using the amplifier in a standalone environment. With a wide DC input voltage range of 23 to 28V, the QB-904 draws a nominal 1200mA from a 24V supply. Small signal gain is up to 38dB.
