RFMW, Ltd. announces design and sales support for a medium-power, super-broad band power amplifier from Aethercomm. Model number SSPA 0.001-6.000-5 operates from 1 MHz to 6 GHz and delivers a saturated output power of 5 to 10 Watts. This GaN amplifier was designed for broadband jamming and communication system platforms and also laboratory applications where a wideband power amplifier is needed. Offering a typical gain of 30-40 dB with a typical power gain flatness of ±4 dB, the SSPA 0.001-6.000-5 class AB quiescent current is ~1.17 amps using a 28 Vdc supply. The amplifier can be blanked on and off in less than 20 uSec. The RF input and output connectors are SMA female.
